SHRINKING SPACE

About the project

This illustration explores the variation of space and intensity of sensation, gradually directing the gaze to one central focal point. The composition is created in the rhythm of decreasing forms, tonal areas and lines - as you move towards the center, the space becomes narrower, and the visual attention is concentrated in one place.

In the colored version of the illustration, the contraction of space is conveyed by the change of color tones and their intensification. The colored areas gradually decrease, while creating a sense of depth, approach and visual concentration. In the linear version, color is removed, so the main element of expression becomes the line - its density, direction and repetition subtly indicate the movement towards the narrowing space and the final focal point.

Both versions of the illustration belong to the author's visual world of the book "Sensations" and examine how different means of graphic expression can convey the experience of space, movement and concentration of sensation.
