The illustration focuses on the natural surface structure, texture and organic lines. A close-up fragment of the trunk becomes an independent visual object, inviting not only observation, but also imagination of its roughness, irregularities and sense of touch.

The illustration is part of the author's book "Senses". The book aims to explore the human relationship with the environment through different senses and to show how what is usually perceived through vision can also be experienced through touch. The texture of the tree trunk here becomes a connection between the visual image and tactile experience.
