About the project
The illustration, created for an ongoing book design and illustration project about gardens, homes and family stories, depicts cakes baked for the Antaniniai festival. The image draws on family memory and everyday feasting traditions, revealing how food becomes not only a part of the celebration, but also an important marker of cultural and emotional memory.
